In a recent interview with Northwestern University’s McCormick School of Engineering and Applied Science Magazine, Engineering Tomorrow Founder Bill Woodburn shares how his early life experiences and professional career inspired him to found Engineering Tomorrow. Bill shares that Engineering Tomorrow is a crucial organization, as it addresses the need for a diverse engineering workforce and directly benefits high school students by introducing them to the exciting real-world applications of the engineering field.
“There’s a lot of talent that needs some direction, some mentorship, some idea of what’s out there,” Bill said. “It’s good for America’s competitiveness to have more engineers and to increase diversity in the field, and it’s good for these kids to have a chance in life.”
