We intentionally seek out diverse student populations.

Our labs inspire students to pursue engineering as a career. A significant number of students who participate in our labs enroll as engineering majors in college.

Normally, some students, especially in our community might not have access to engineers. This provides them an opportunity to not only validate their learning, make their actual high school curriculum purposeful, but it also provides them hope and insight into where they could be.

Engineering Tomorrow, by coming into the local schools or through their virtual labs, helps students not just get excited about taking on engineering challenges, but also connects them to college engineering students and to engineers working in the field. And I think that helps students to see that the lab they’re doing or the learning they’re doing in school can actually lead them to a very specific path a lot of times right in their own community.
