Exploring Space & Developing Launch Vehicles
what you will learn
In this lab, students are introduced to spacecraft, launch vehicles, and orbits.
They will use simulations to test and explore physics and vehicle design. They will also analyze the design of rockets through testing and iterating a balloon rocket.

Meet our keynote speaker
Camille Bergin
Camille is an aerospace engineer turned science communicator and content creator. She shares optimistic and accessible stories about space technology and the crucial role it plays in shaping the world we live in, and our future.
Camille founded The Galactic Gal in 2020 to make STEM education more accessible. Her goal has always been to be the representation she needed growing up.
Camille has extensive experience in space business development and marketing at both startups and aerospace primes. She has worked on a variety of cutting-edge space technologies including commercial artificial gravity space stations, in-space spacecraft refueling architectures, and the Orion crew capsule for the Artemis program.
Camille has been featured in The New York Times and The Washington Post for her science outreach, and has appeared on NASA TV and Fox Business segments. Camille graduated from the University of Tennessee Knoxville with a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering.
