Meet our keynote speaker
Sarah Syed

Sarah Syed is a recent graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Inspired by her grandmother’s work as an OB-GYN in Pakistan, Sarah aspires to start a biotech company developing accessible interventions for historically overlooked diseases affecting women’s health.

At MIT, she studied mechanisms of horizontal gene transfer at the Grossman Lab and developed nanoscale contrast agents for early cancer detection. Previously, Sarah led the differentiation of gene-edited stem cells for allogeneic cell therapy as an intern at CRISPR Therapeutics. Sarah now works as an Associate Consultant at Kx Advisors, a firm that provides strategic and scientific expertise to clients in the healthcare and life sciences industry.

Meet our keynote speaker
Viktoriia Kyrychenko

Dr. Viktoriia Kyrychenko is a Senior Scientist at CRISPR Therapeutics specializing in cell and molecular biology.

Her research focuses on CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing, both in vitro and in vivo, for therapeutic development and disease modeling, stem cell-derived therapies, molecular biology, and biochemistry.

Viktoriia has authored publications and patents, particularly in Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy mutations correction and the development of iPSC-derived immune cell therapies for cancer treatment. Currently, she is focused on advancing in vivo gene editing techniques for treating chronic hypertension. She earned her MS and PhD in Biochemistry from Taras Shevchenko National University, Kyiv, Ukraine, and completed post-doctoral training at Rutgers University and the University of Texas, Dallas.
