Meet our keynote speaker
Miral Kotb

Miral is an Egyptian-American artist and entrepreneur who has found a way to merge her love of dance, storytelling and computational problem solving.

While at Columbia she studied dance at Barnard University, Middlesex University in London, England, and around NYC. Her work as a choreographer was presented in New York, London and Paris. Upon graduating, she landed a coveted job on Wall Street at Bloomberg LP writing complex trading software systems from the ground up.

In 2009, she was able to combine all of her passions to create iLuminate - the world’s first light dance technology company. iLuminate’s patented technology is used by major entertainment acts, including Grammy Award-winning superstars Chris Brown, Christina Aguilera, The Black Eyed Peas, and Death Cab For Cutie, among others.

A two-time cancer survivor, Miral has overcome extreme obstacles both personally and within the ever-changing world of technology. She founded the Share Your Light Foundation, working with the US Embassy to present programs around the world.
