Engineering Tomorrow Visit All Hallows High School in the Bronx in Celebration of International Day of the Girl
Students from All Hallows High School in the Bronx celebrated International Day of the Girl through an interactive lab event with Engineering Tomorrow, joining 7,000 high school students nationally over Zoom.
During the lab, Gerry Dawes, Staff Engineer at Engineering Tomorrow and a former director at Con Edison Company of New York, walked students through creating an electric circuit using a TinkerCad simulation of the Arduino Uno device and programming application, putting the concepts they learned about smart circuits and embedded systems into practice. Students also had the chance to ask questions to the lab’s special guest speaker—Miral Kotb, female founder of iLuminate and previous America’s Got Talent finalist—over Zoom.
