Bridges Live Event from UN Climate Week: Watch the Keynote!

September 26, 2025

On September 25, 2025, Engineering Tomorrow brought a global perspective to students nationwide with a live Bridges event and keynote presented from United Nations Climate Week in New York City. Classrooms across the United States were connected through a powerful conversation about engineering, access, and global problem-solving.

The event featured a keynote presentation from Eniola Mafe-Abaga, global infrastructure leader and engineer, and co-founder of #TheNewNigerian during the #EndSARS movement. She has also been recognized as one of OkayAfrica’s 100 Women in Africa and Foreign Policy’s 99 Under 33. Eniola shared her journey across continents and sectors—from early influences rooted in family and community to global leadership in sustainable development. Through her presentation, she inspired students to think about building a bridge as a repeatable problem-solving mindset, encouraging them to “build one bridge this month.”

Students were encouraged to reframe engineering as a tool for building access, strengthening communities, and creating lasting impact—and to see it not only as a technical discipline, but as a pathway to equity, leadership, and possibility.

Watch the full session below—and see how engineering can build bridges that change lives.
